Hour of Code
What is the Hour of Code?
The Hour of Code is an event that started as a one-hour introduction to computer science. The goal was to demystify code and show that anybody can learn. It occurs every year during Computer Science Education Week. In 2016 this falls on the week of December 5-11.
Computer Science Education Week is held every year in recognition of computing pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hopper, one of the first programmers of the Harvard Mark I computer in 1944.
