Primary
A space for making, inquiry, and technology exploration.
Kindergarten - Grade 3
K-3
Seating
Providing students with a variety of seating arrangements and spots in the classroom will appeal to different learners. This classroom setup utilizes a carpet, round tables for collaboration, a more private corner of the room with cushions, individual desks, and a conference area to meet with the teacher.
Technology
Technology budgets differ from school to school. Some tools that can help foster inquiry and maker minds include:
SMART Board: to see work and ideas in large form.
Document Camera: to project and share work and ideas.
Laptops/Tablets: to research and build presentations.

There are lots of different hardware and software available to enhance inquiry-based learning. More information is available under the Intermediate page.
Remain open to the possibilities inherent within a space and seek to open possibilities for your students, permitting them engagement in ways we as adults might not imagine.
