We are educators from different backgrounds and locations in Canada taking the MET program at UBC. We have designed this site as a project for our ETEC 532 course.

Derek Cowan
Teacher
Derek is a grade 5 teacher in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He has been teaching for 9 years and is a student in the MET program at UBC.
Wanyi Wong
ESL Teacher / International Student Program Coordinator
Aside from being a MET student, Wanyi is also currently a student coordinator who works with international students in private schools. Previously, she has taught in South Korea, Ontario and in British Columbia.
Sara Martin
Teacher
Sara has taught grade 7-12 in Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Alberta. She is a student in the MET program at UBC.
Allison Kostiuk
Grade 3 Teacher
Allison is a Grade 3 teacher in Kimberley, BC. She has 5 years of teaching experience in primary and K-5 music. She is looking forward to further exploring maker spaces, inquiry-based learning, and technology integration in her classroom!
